EATING YOUR HEARTS OUT ON FRENCH FRIES AND BUTTERMILK COOKIES?

You would think eating a lot of fatty food or starchy stuff is a sin. Now there is some justification, significant one as a matter of fact, for it.

In a study comparing cognitive ability of commercial pilots under three different types of diet, those fed a high-fat or high-carbohydrate diet did significantly better. In flight-simulated tasks (operating a GATT 2 full-motion flight simulator), they reacted to situations faster, think more logically and analyze events more accurately, as compared to when they were fed a high-protein diet. (Lindseth and Lindseth, 2009.)

Now there is a reason to binge on ice cream and fried chicken - you can think and react better.
